Dr. Ganesh Rao

Dr. Ganesh Rao is the Group Advisor – Management Program at Pimpri Chinchwad University. He has also been serving as the Director of Pune Business School for the past 5 years.

He completed his MBA from Pune University in 1989 and was awarded a Ph.D. in Management by Pune University in 1999 under the guidance of the Father of Management Education of Maharashtra, Dr. P. C. Shejwalkar.

Dr. Rao has over 20 years of rich corporate experience with renowned organizations such as Bajaj Auto, the Garware Group, and Mitcon Consulting. His last corporate assignment was as Vice President of Marketing.

During his corporate journey, he travelled extensively across India, Europe, Africa, and the United States, gaining valuable international exposure and industry insights.

He has been actively associated with management education and leadership roles in business schools for the past 17 years. He has served as Director at prestigious institutions including IIMS Pune and Mitcon Pune.

Dr. Rao has also contributed significantly to social and professional organizations. He served as the President of Rotary Club Today Sports City in 2016 and was the Chartered President of the Rotaract Club in 1992.

He has held the position of Chairman of the AIMS Pune Chapter as well as the Maharashtra Chapter for three years.

Since 2019, he has been serving as an elected National Board Member of the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS).

At present, he is the elected Vice President – West India for AIMS (Association of Management Schools).
